Adoptable Pets
At present, approximately 40 dogs and 18 cats reside at our facility. If you are interested in receiving further information on our pets, please contact Gail Ross at 870-431-8229, or via email at gailspets@hotmail.com. All pets adopted out will have been spayed or neutered, and are up to date on vaccinations and heart worm preventative. As with any rescue animal, the age of the dog/cat is an estimate. Hi, my name is Heidi. A beautiful name for a beautiful girl! I am a young female short-haired shepherd mix. I arrived at the shelter after a ranger found me wandering in a park with no id. My owners were never found. I have made many friends at the shelter, but I really want a forever home. Heidi is the most friendly, gentle dog. She gets along with all dogs and loves people. There is not an aggressive bone in her body.

Sugar is an adorable 15 week old (as of June 13, 2014) female Red Heeler mix puppy. She recently arrived at the shelter with her littermate Apple and also Caramel. They would dumped behind Lowe's in Mountain Home and a wonderful family found them and brought them to a vet, who in turn called Gail. Apple and Sugar look so much alike. The only way we can tell them apart is Apple's tail, which has a kink in it!

Elvis is a wonderful 1 year old (as of June 1st) Catahoula Leopard Dog. He arrived at the shelter in December after his owner could not afford to care for him any longer. He has beautiful coloring, loves to play with other dogs, and walks very well on a leash.

Caramel is a delightful 15 week old (as of June 13, 2014) female Red Heeler mix. Perhaps she has some boxer in her? Not sure, but she is a very friendly puppy. She was dumped behind Lowe's in Mountain Home along with Apple and Sugar and a wonderful family found them and brought them to a vet, who in turn called Gail. |
Diego is an adorable small male Terrier mix boy. He is believed to be approximately 1-2 years old. He is very friendly, gets along with other dogs, and would make a great addition to your family!

Jasper is an adorable young (5 months old as of June 13, 2014) Aussie shepherd mix boy. He loves to run and play with his penmate Barnaby, loves to go for walks, and is learning how to sit on command. He would make a great family dog!

Cooper is a very sweet male Beagle/mix dog. He is approximately 2 years old as of June 20114 He arrived at the shelter along with his brother, Jeff, after having been abandoned. He is a wonderful dog, very friendly. He walks great on a leash, loves people and he would make a great family dog. |
Fabio is a 2-1/2 year old Dearhead Chihuahua. He loves to play with other dogs and is friendly.

Carly is a 2 year old female Aussie Shepherd mix. That is our best guess anyway. She is a sweet girl, gets along great with other other dogs at the shelter, and walks great on a leash. She would make a great family dog. |
Reney is a beautiful 4-5 year old Terrier mix female dog. She beautiful shiny black fur and look at those ears! She get along well with other dogs.

Ellie Mae is a seven-year beagle mix. Quiet and unassuming, Ellie Mae's favorite pasttime is sleeping on the couch! Ellie Mae likes other dogs and cats, but would do best in a home without small children. Eliie Mae is an escape artist, and is able to find her way out of most any enclosure. She is loyal, however, and will stay close to home. If you'd like a nice, quiet buddy to watch TV with you, Ellie Mae is just the girl. Watch out, though, 'cause she might want to share your popcorn on movie night!

Snooks is a wonderful female hound/mix dog. She gets along great with other dogs and has lived at Gail's Pets for the past five years. She is a little "homely" looking, but very sweet.

Chip is a super friendly, energetic Labrador retriever....and he's handsome, too! His short, glossy coat makes him a showstopper wherever he goes. Chip likes everyone he meets, whether human, canine or feline. Chip also enjoys long walks, and behaves like a gentleman on lead. |
Hansom! Despite my size, I am a 6+ year old shepherd mix, and I am a bashful guy at first. Once I get to know you, I personality shine! I am non-aggressive, and get along with other dogs. I love taking long walks, and behave very well on a lead. If you're looking for a "big, teddy-bear of a dog" then I am the boy for you!
